LEICESTER star Ryan Douglas rounded off an exciting spell of 2020 preparations by becoming the Queensland Solo Champion this weekend.
The 26-year-old Aussie roared to victory in Brisbane to kick off his summer season of racing back home in style.
It comes at the end of a week in which Douglas was officially announced as a Watling JCB Lion for next season’s Championship title defence.
Douglas said: “It’s always great to race at home after a long season in Europe and to lift this title means a lot. It sets me up perfectly for a busy summer here and it’s something to build on.
He said: "Racing in front of family and friends always means there’s extra pressure on me but everything worked perfectly tonight and I couldn’t be happier.
"A huge thanks to all my sponsors who have again supported me.”
